Discover Banstead: A Charming Town in Surrey

Banstead is a charming town in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey, England. It lies just 3 miles (5 km) south of Sutton, 7 miles (11 km) south-west of Croydon, 7 miles (11 km) north of Reigate, 8.5 miles (14 km) south-east of Kingston-upon-Thames, and 14 miles (23 km) south of Central London.

Perched on the North Downs, Banstead is surrounded by open area buffers with Metropolitan Green Belt status, providing a serene escape from urban life. Banstead Downs, a fragment of its historic expanse, is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Among Banstead's wards is the delightful “Banstead Village.” The neighboring ward of Nork, home to Banstead station, shares many amenities with Banstead. It is included in county-level population analyses but not in the central-government-drawn Banstead Built-up Area, which includes Burgh Heath and had 15,469 residents as of the 2011 census.[2]
